The Pecan Commons Energy Challenge Efficiency experts helping neighborhoods live better, on less energy. You know Texans use significantly more electricity per person than the US national average and that this energy use has implications on our air and water quality, our health, our economy, and our quality of life. The Question How do we get more people to lessen the impact our energy use has on our environment and our lives here in Central Texas? The Energy Challenge For 30 days in the summer of 2010, Central Texas neighborhoods will compete on being as energy efficient as possible. With the help of entrepreneurs who will provide products and services, efficiency experts like you will coach neighborhoods on how use less energy, yet still live with will. We'll follow the neighborhood teams on YouTube. As the energy efficiency expert, you will be an integral part of the show, providing advice and coaching on camera. Not deprivation. Smarter use. The Opportunity You will have the opportunity to put a human face on energy efficiency, being a big part of the story. We'll also give you social media opportunities to talk more about the advice you give on camera, so you can go into the depth you need as well as connect with fans and future customers.
